Show Springville Post Leads Celebration For Armistice Day Armistice day was observed in Springville with patriotic programs given in the high school and the grade schools, under the direction of the American Legion, the aux-! aux-! iliary, and faculty members. 1 Clarence TutUe, World war vet- eran and high school faculty member, mem-ber, gave the principal address at the L'lgh school, relating a number of his war time experiences. The invocation was by La Cclie Sum-sion. Sum-sion. Clair Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. Lucitle Stowell, furnished vocal solos; Principal E. E. Knud-scn, Knud-scn, spoke briefly. The flag salute was led by Mrs. Hilda Grant and President Esther Johnson conducted conduct-ed 30-second's silent tribute to the World war dead. The program was in charge of Ed. Johnson, post vice commander. In the evening a dance was held in tfrc Memorial hall, under the supervision of the American Legion. |
