Show Springvilie 4-H Club Workers Win Honors For Achievements Approximately fifty 4-H club members, representing two sewing clubs, a garden, a sheep and two calf clubs, and their leaders - A4s. A. W. Cherrington, Mrs. J. Emmett Bird, Roland Brown, Richard Childs, Fred Weight and Otis Hjorth received pins during- the ai- nual 4-H club achievement day ex-ercises, ex-ercises, held at the Springvilie First ward chapel, Sunday evening. Four of the six clubs completed the years work with 100 percent membership, and these were presented pre-sented with charters signed by representatives of the U. S. agricultural agri-cultural department and the extension ex-tension division of the U. A. C. at Logan. The pin awards we're made by C. G. Salisbury, representing the State Bankers' asosciation, while County Agent Lyman H. Rich presented pre-sented the charters. Mr. Rich spoke of the benefits of the 4-H club work, stating that better bet-ter citizens and better homefnak-ers homefnak-ers resulted from the work. He also presented checks totaling nearly $50 to boys of the various clubs for thei stock prizes in the state fair this fall. A number of the boys were pre- sented to Scout Commissioner S. The meeting adjourned with the club pledge given by all members and the girls sang the national club song. |
