Show Y 'Bach' Students Receive Free Fruit And Vegetables According to J. W. Sauls, custodian cus-todian of the Brigham Young university, 150 bushels of apples Viave been distributed to upwards of 200 stdents at the institution, during the past three weeks. Early in the fall, quanities of fresh vegetables veg-etables from the un i versity farm were donated to needy students. These are some of trfo features of the general university program of assisting students who are at-tmpting at-tmpting . to "ba.tch" their way throug'n. school. The apples were donated from the university orchard or-chard and from the private orchard of Dr. Amos N. Merrill, to students from outside of Utah' county who are . "batching." It is a significant fact that hand in hand with the increased registration regi-stration at . the university this quarter, comes the announcement from the Student Accommodations Committee, of which Wm. H. Boyle is chairman, trfat the majority of students at the Brigham Young university are "batching" this year, in contrast to other years when the greater percentage of students were boarding. |
