After the arguments Judge Sabath Sab-ath took the case under advisement and said he expected to hand down a decision July 28. The tate made no recommendiation for punishment leaving that to Judge Sabath. Defense attorney Mark Antonow made a dramatic plea, beginning with tears Inl his eyes "not to send this lad to prison." Mrs. Corry wept. Mrs. Helen Smith, widow of the slain' policeman, turned angrily to a spectator with a remark re-mark about "it all being maudlin." |
