Show SOCIETY NEVS Honoring Miss Doma Marchant I of Salt Lake who was the week- end guest of Miss Mary Boyer, a 1 delightful party was given at the ' Boyer home Saturday evening. A musical program and games were enjoyed. Luncheon was served to ivliss Ellen Wheeler, Miss Mattit Davis, Mrs. Mark Hanson of Spanish Span-ish Fork, Mrs. Gladys Boyer, Miss Anna Crandall, Miss Margaret Fox, Miss Helen Fox, Miss Virginia Sim-kins, Sim-kins, Miss Marie Simkins, Miss Gena Smith, the guest of honor and hostess. Miss Cleon Fox, Miss Harriet Miner and Miss Jane Bag-ley Bag-ley assisted in serving.-- Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wallick of Salt Lake formerly of this city spent the week end as guests of Mrs.' George Talmadge, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Lyall and other friends. Mrs. Daniel Sumsion has returned return-ed to her home in Springville after several wceKS visit with her daughter daugh-ter Mis. Leona Dalbey and family at Oakland, California . Gene and Jane Aileman of Salt Lake spent Memorial day and the week end with their parents, Mr. : and Mrs. Harold Aileman. Mrs. J. i R. Houtz and family of Helper, the home of Mrs. Rhoda Beardall and family. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vane and family fam-ily of Salt Lake, former residents of this city were guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Mendenhall and other relatives here the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. Wyman Wills of Los Angeles who have spent the past several days here with Mrs. Wills parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mc-Dougall, Mc-Dougall, were dinner guests Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Dougall. . Mrs. Rose Boyer of Los Angeles is visiting friends and relatives here. She came especially for Memorial day. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Miner, Miss Volma Mendenhall of Salt Lake, Marion Miner, E. S. Groesbeck, Oliver Dalton and Dr. S. Eugene Dalton enjoyed a hike and picnic lunch in Hobble Creek canyon on Thursday afternoon. The 4-H Jersey Calf club were guests Tuesday of Fred Weight, leader. Present were Merlyn and Keith Houtz, Jay Thorpe, Bert Cherrington, Karl Peterson, De-Vere De-Vere Weight and Robert Weight. Mrs. A. W. Cherrington was hostess host-ess to the 4-H Sewing club at her home Wednesday evening. Ten members attended. Mr. and Mis. Joseph Robison of Lehi arc visiting with Mrs. Robi-son's Robi-son's parents Mr. and Mrs. John Dougall. Members of the Home Culture club will be guests of Mrs. Blanch Beal at her home Friday afternoon The meeting will be in the form of a kensington and all members are urged to be present. Miss Coe Packard was honored with a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. Jessie Condie, Mrs. Fay Goltfrcdson and Mrs. Lucille Packard Pack-ard at the home of the latter Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. About 25 friends and relatives were present and enjoyed en-joyed the afternoon with games and social chat. Luncheon was served by the hostesses. Miss Packard Pack-ard received many beautiful bridal gifts. The regular monthly .meeting of the Legion auxiliary will bo held at the home of Miss Helen Reynolds Rey-nolds Wednesday June 1. Mrs. Mar-joric Mar-joric Frandsen, Mrs. Lela Nelson and Miss Reynolds were hostesses. A fine program with a speaker from the B. Y. U. featured the entertainment. Supt. and Mrs. G. N. Child of Salt Lake, were also Memorial day guests at the Aileman home.. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barlow and two sons of Morgan, Utah, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Brown on Sunday. Edward of this city spent the week-end in Richfield a guest of his sister Mrs. Boyd Buchanan and family. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Clark and children of Thatcher, Arizona, arc visiting friends and relatives in this city. Complimentary to Dr. S. Eugene Dalton of Atlantic City, New Jersey relatives of this city assembled nt Geneva Sunday for picnic lunch. Those in attendance were S. E. Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton. Dal-ton. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Miner, and daughter, Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen of Mapleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Miner. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Felix of this city returned from New York Sunday Sun-day where they went to meet their son Leo. who has been laboring in the Swiss-German mission the payt two years. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Raleigh of Logan, Mr. and Mr. John Anderson and family of Eureka, John Anderson Ander-son Sr. and daughter Ida of Los Angeles, were guests Monday at |
