Show ,s- . . - Plans Are Underway For Day Of Great Activity; Committees Are Chosen Springville will observe July 4 with one of the biggest celebrations in the history of the city, according to plans outlined at a meeting of patriotic citizens held in Springville Spring-ville bank Tuesday evening. A mammoth daylight parade in the early afternoon, and an illuminated pageant in the evening are to be features of the day, according to the tentative plans discussed at Tuesday evening's meeting. A rodeo to be produced by one of the foremost troupes in the west, and the formal opening of the new Memorial hall with a big dance are also to be features of the day's activities. Joe Grant, Ed Johnson and George Barron were appointed ap-pointed members of the central committee, while Virgil Hafen was made chairman of the advertising committee. More than 20 others will serve on various committees, and no effort will be spared to make the day outstanding in the history of the city. The committee will have the backing of every business institution in the city in carrying out the plans outlined, it is said. |
