Show 1 SOCIETY A delightful evening was spent Monday when Mrs. Wilda W. Oalt-ey, Oalt-ey, Luella and Jill ma Straw entertained enter-tained at a miscellaneous shower , at the' home of the latter in comp::- 1 ment to Miss Marie Hutchinson, a bride of this week. Games and music furnished pleasant entertainment. entertain-ment. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostesses to the" following fol-lowing ladies present: Mrs. R. B. Weight, Misses Hilda Lam a Clegg, Miss Thclma Noakes, Miss Adams, Miss Millf-, Miss Margaret Jensen, Mary Weight, Mrs. Willis Sumsion, Miss Donna Sne'lson and the guest of honor. Many pretty gifts were received by Miss Hutchinson. Prominent among the Christmas parties given this week was that of the Alumni Boosters' club Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Miner. Decorations consisted of a, pretty Christmas tree in one corner and various Christmas emblems em-blems arranged about the rooms. The evening was spent playing progressive pro-gressive games after which a daintjy lunch was served by the hostess. Members and guests present to enjoy en-joy the delightful affair were: Mrs. Wealtha Mendenhall, Mrs. Carrie Tripp, Miss Josephine Sanford, Miss Virginia Packard. Miss Mildred Hoffman, Mrs. Kate Payne, Mrs. Cleone Miner and Mrs. Helen Rob-gins. Rob-gins. Christmas gifts were exchanged ex-changed among those present. A nicely arranged party was given Friday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Vance Givide'n at their home in compliment to Miss Marie Hutchinson Hutchin-son and George Stone who were married this week. Entertaining .rooms were pretty in holiday decorations. dec-orations. Various games and social chat were' enjoyed, also a delicious luncheon which was served by the hostess. Many pretty and useful gifts were presented the guests of honor by the following relatives and frie'nds present: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Gividcn, Mrs. Ernest Stone, Miss Helen Diamond, Mrs. Jennie Marsh, Miss Bessie Diamond, Miss Melva Gividen, Miss Beulah Stone, Miss Helen Tew, Miss Perry, Edwin Be'ck, LeRoy Stone, Earl Gividen, Biss Lila Gividen, Misses Helen and Tressa Stone. Members of the S. T. card club will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Manilla Brown Saturday evening eve-ning at the regular Christmas party. Gifts will be exchanged and luncheon will be served at 8 o'clock followed by progressive bridge. All members are' asked to be present. Members of the Kensington club met Tuesday afternoon at the home ! of Mrs. Peter Forsythe. An enjoyable en-joyable social time' was spent during dur-ing the afternoon and Christmas j gifts were exchanged among those ! present.
