Show HEALTH UNIT MOST ACTIVE Thirty-eight children were examined exam-ined during the past week by the Utah County Health Unit, with Dr. E. P. Oldham, examining physician, physi-cian, and Mrs. Evalina Reed, R. N., ' as the unit nurse. Ninety-two defects de-fects were noted, 3 corrections found, and 3 of the children were found to be free of any defects. Conferences for the coming week will bo held as follows: Orem, Monday; Mon-day; Springville, " Wednesday; Ma-pleton, Ma-pleton, Tuesday; Benjamin, Friday morning; Santaquin, Friday afternoon. after-noon. Mothers' classes will be completed com-pleted during the week at American Ameri-can Fork and Springville. A class is also being conducted at Spanish Fork, Monday night. A survey conducted in Mapleton to ascertain the extent to which the health unit is functioning has revealed some interesting figures Out of 63 children of pre-school age, 52 were found to have beer registered and in attendance at the conferences conducted by the unit Twenty-five corrections out of f total of 45 noted had been made ir the three-year period since the con ferences were started. |
