Show CHILD VICTIM OF INFLUENZA " LAID AT REST Impressive funeral services for Blaine Lacelle Bird, 9, who died j of , flu-pneumonia at the family residence Friday, were held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon in the Second ward chapel. Bishop William Wain-wright Wain-wright presided. The invocation was offered by John S. Groesbeck, after which the high school male quartet, accompanied accom-panied by E. L. Faux at the piano, rendered one selection. Other musical numbers were: Duet, Misses Miss-es Inez Wheeler and Helen Palfreyman, Pal-freyman, accompanied by Miss Mary Strong; vocal, duet, by Fox sisters; vocal selection by Second ward male quartet. The speakers were D. Ford Cran-dall Cran-dall and President J. Frank Bring-hurst. Bring-hurst. Bishop Wainwright read the scholastic record of the child, written by his teacher Miss Mary Strong. George L. Hyde offered the benediction. bene-diction. The grave at the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery was dedicated by J. H. Manwaring. The child was born in Springville June 22, 1919. He is survived by his parents, also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Bird. |
