Show District Confab Held In Provo; Aims Discussed Slate War Memorial, Building Advocated; Boxing Commission, Veterans' Hospital Hos-pital Are Among- Projects. Important legislation favored by the American Legion, department of Utah, was outlined in a report .submitted by Judge George S. Bal-lif, Bal-lif, chairman of the legislative committee, to the Legion district conference, which convened Sunday nt the Elks' home in Provo. Among the speakers were F. J. Kerschner, of Salt Lake, who told of Junior baseball league organized organ-ized last year. Information was given out that Provo would likely foster a league composed of four or six junior teams next year, the best players from the league to represent the Provo post later in state competition. "Kentucky Derby" Drive Plans for stimulating more rivalry rival-ry in the membership campaigns were described by E. A. Littlefield, of Salt Lake, who suggested a drive patterned after the Kentucky derby, der-by, the different posts to be named after leading horses. J. P. Clayton Clay-ton of Provo, who was captain of the winning membership team in the Provo drive, spoke on how to get new members. Mr. Littlefield also gave a report on the child welfare work being done by the Legion posts. E. A.
