CENTRAL BEETj GROWERS ASK UNIFORM RATE 1 I I : A uniform contract for sugar beets in all parts of the Utah-Idaho territory will be demanded this year by the Utah Central Beet Growers' association, according to a decision rc'achod at a meeting of the organization organi-zation held Saturday afternoon at the city and county building. J. W. Gillman of Orem, was reelected re-elected president of the association. R. D. Morgan of Spanish Fork, was named vice president, and J. A. Fox, secre'Lary. A resolution requesting the Utah delegation in Washington to work for an increased tariff on sugar was passed by a unanimous vote, and a copy forwarded to the American Farm Bureau Fc'deration. The resolution res-olution slates that the growing of sugar beets is becoming more un-profilaMe un-profilaMe each year, and relief is urgent if the industry is to be savtfd for weste.-n agriculture. |
