Show C.R.JONES TO FILL VACANCY IN PRESIDENCY At the regular quarterly conference confer-ence of Kolob stake, held Saturday and Sundny in the Springville high school, C. R. Jones, manager of the Springville-Mapleton sugar factory, was chosen to fill the vacancy of second counselor in the stake presidency, presi-dency, caused by the recent death of E. M. Snow. Apostle David O. McKay was the principal speaker at the afternoon session Saturday, as well as at the morning and afternoon meetings on Sunday. In addition to his address given Sunday morning, general reports of the primary and M. I. A. work were given. At the general session Sunday Sun-day afternoon reports from the elders' quorums were given by the presidents of the various wards. President G. R. Maycock presided presid-ed at all sessions except Sunday evening, at which time tho M. I. A. stake presidency was in charge. E. L. Faux directed the music, which was furnished mainly by the choir members. - Edgar Jensen of the B. Y. TJ. spoke on the M. I. A. slogan at the Sunday evening services, . and a splendid musical program was also given consisting of a number from each of the wards of Springville and Mapleton. |
