Show Funeral rites held for shooting victim Funeral services were held Monday at Berg Drawing room, Provo, for Mrs. Betty Jean Blackett Gull, 18, of Mapleton, who lost her life as result of a gunshot wound, Thursday night, March 21, 1963. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. She was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Provo, a daughter of Fay and Maude Roberta Jasperson Blackett. She was married to Rex Gull, April 11, 1960, in Springville and they were divorced di-vorced March 15, this year. She attended school in Provo Pro-vo and moved to California in 1952. She had lived in Maple-ton Maple-ton the last two years. She was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Daniel Shane and Jean Dannette Gull; her parents, par-ents, Mrs. Joe Gainsforth, Provo and Fay Blackett, of Springville; a grandfather, Dean Jasperson, Lancaster, Calif.; two brothers and a sister, sis-ter, Robert (Floyd) Mathis, Provo; Milton (Jerry) Mathis Santa Ana, Calif.; nd Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) Gosgrave, Westminister, California. Preliminary hearing for her exhusband, hrged with the fatal fa-tal shooting, has been set for April 9, in Provo City Court. He is being held without bail in Utah County Jail. |
