Show Senior 'Student of the Week' "K ' '" f' i . L.,;l...LJ Douglas Miner, handsome, active, all-round good student, is the student of the week at the high school this week. Doug, as he is most commonly known, has participated in music, dramatics, sports, church and community activities. activ-ities. He is a member of the Safety Safe-ty Council, a'cappella, the Squires quartet and president of the senior class. As a sophomore, he played football and baseball. Active in dramatics, he is a member mem-ber of the Thespian Club and was in the play, "Visit to a Small Planet". He attended the Freedom Academy last summer at Camp Williams. During his junior -year, Doug was president of the Seminary. Other church activities have included participation in the Douglas Miner Junior M-Men basketball team, president of the Explorers Deacons, Teachers quorums and Secretary of the Priest's quorum. He has gained six individual in-dividual church awards. Hobbies include basketball and baseball, singing and playing play-ing his trombone. He was a member of the winning stake quartet, representing his 12th Ward. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don T. Miner. |
