Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe have just returned from a months vacation in the east. They went on a tour to the church pageant and visited the Sacred Grove and many other places of early church history. They also toured the cities of Washington D. C., New York, Boston and Niagara Falls. They spent the last two weeks of their trip visiting their son Calvin and family, in Freehold Free-hold N. J., where they saw a new granddaughter. Calvin has just recently completed a yea i s schooling at the University of Pennsylvania where he received receiv-ed a master of science degree in engineering. He is now employed em-ployed at the Bell Telephone Laboratories in Holmdel, N. J. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Johnson enjoyed a weekend visit from their sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson and son, Scott, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Johnson all of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan W. Boyer have had as their guests the past ten days, a son, Kenneth Ken-neth Boyer and wife and four children, who came by jet from their home in Freemont, California. They have been living, until recently, at Mountain Moun-tain View. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Merritt accompanied by Mrs. Mer-ritt's Mer-ritt's mother, Mrs. Olive Kartchner and an aunt, Mrs. Rusletta Sharp of Ogden have returned home from Holbrook, Arizona, where they attended a reunion of the Heward family. fam-ily. Enroute they viewed Glen Canyon Dam and returned by way of Jacob's Lake. |
