Show Officer warns on S.S. book The publisher of a book which is being widely advertised adver-tised as containing exclusive information and "Tips" on "How To Get Twice As Much Social Security," states that his book has been cleared for accuracy "with the highest legal le-gal authority on the subject of social security benefit claims." This book, Kesler T. Powell, Social Security District Manager, Man-ager, said today, has XOT been cleared by the Social Security Se-curity Administration. He said that the book, which is offered of-fered for sale at prices ranging rang-ing from $1.99 to $5.00, contains con-tains advice which if followed might place a person in a worse rather than a better financial fi-nancial position. He said, also, that taking some of the "Tips" the book offers might lead to extensive delay in the payment of social security benefits, because be-cause all of the facts would have to be investigated before social security benefits could be paid. "Responsible publishers of privately published books and pamphlets about social security" secur-ity" Mr. Powell pointed out, "make sure that their materials mater-ials are technically accurate jand up to date." |
