Upon inquiry, it was found that the Sr. High School and the Jr. High School both have excellent rides set up for this purpose. This probably isn't generally known, however. Al-though each student is given a little folder containing this code along With other informa-tion, it is doubtful that many of them ever reach the par-ents. These codes cover such sub-jects as behavior while at classes, lunch hour,- dances, assemblies, games, etc.; what is permitted in the way of dress, hair styles and dating at school functions. is cooperation of parents and support of the rules and reg- - ulations that have been pre-pared by those whom we have given the authority over our children while at school. D. LaRell Johnson, Ch. Springville Committee for Children and Youth The rules are sensible and easy to understand. There should be no excuse for any-one getting out of line. It is noted however, that each year there are those that seek-- to be different and consequently up-set the order of things. How much easier it would be for all, the parent, teacher, and student, if these rules could be adhered to. It is felt that if the parent had a better understanding of these rules themselves and knew that other parents ere anxious to have their children abide by them, it wouldn't be difficult to handle. In other words, when Maryt or John is questioned about wearing a certain kind of clothing to school, say, "Why can't I, all the other kids do?" Mom can look at the code book and say, "No they don't" and stick to it. Certainly we are in a phase of extreme fashion and some extreme behavior. This trend shows signs of becoming more severe. We don't believe that many parents want to see the continuation of this move-ment away from modesty and good taste that is prevalent today. The solution to the problem V, ; I. . f x ' 1 r 1 Ray P.
