Show Army recruiting station promises to send men south for training climate where hunting and fishing are plentiful. A hunt- . ing and fishing permit with a deer tag is very reasonable at four dollars. ' The U. S. Army Recruiting Station located at 51 East Center Street in Provo announces an-nounces a change in the location loca-tion of the "Basic Training Center" for this area. Until further notice, all males entering the U. S. Army after September 1st will be forwarded to Fort Polk, Louisiana Lou-isiana for basic training. They will depart from Salt Lake City on a United Airlines Jet Mainliner and arrive a t Shreveport, Louisana, the following fol-lowing morning. They will archers who hunted deer during dur-ing the 1962 season, travel on to Fort Polk by Army Ar-my bus. Fort Polk is the largest military mil-itary installation in Louisiana and is located 260 miles northwest north-west of New Orleans and 220 miles east of Houstan, Texas. Fort Polk has an 18 hole golf course (available for off-duty hours), a commissary, numerous num-erous post exchange stores, service clubs, gymnasium, hobby hob-by shops, 3 movie theaters and 12 chapels.
