Show LEfifll HP (HTTP CE NOTICE OF INTENTION CURB AND GUTTER AND SIDEWALK DISTRICT NUMBER 10 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City Council of Springville, Utah, of its intention to create Improvement District Number 10 for the purpose pur-pose of constructing at certain locations on those streets hereinafter designated sidewalk and curb and gutter and defraying the cost and expenses thereof by levying and collecting special taxes on the lots and parcels of land affected and benefited by such improvements im-provements BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICT. The proposed propos-ed improvement district lies within the corporate limits of the City of Springville. The property affected affect-ed and which is to be assessed consists of all those lots and parcels of land abutting on the sides to be improved of those certain streets hereinafter designated, desig-nated, for the distances and between the points indicated, indi-cated, and running back from the street line the entire en-tire depth of each such lot and parcel of land or 165 feet, whichever distance is the lesser. IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED. The improvements im-provements proposed to be made consist of plain ; four foot sidewalks in the areas hereinafter designat-i designat-i ed and both standard and irrigation type concrete combined curb and gutter in the areas hereinafter I i designated, together with such private driveways and I irrigation headgates as are required; and such im-: im-: ! ! provements shall include all other necessary things f required to complete the whole project in proper and workman like manner in accordance with plans, profiles and specifications on file in the office of the :!; City Engineer and City Recorder. ! ! LOCATION OF SIDEWALK IMPROVE- n-: ! MENTS. Sidewalk improvements are to be construc- !; ted along the following named streets for the dis-r dis-r tances and between the points indicated, to-wit : ! 300 SOUTH STREET south side between Main . : ; Street and 100 west Street. : HILLCREST DRIVE north side from 900 East i Street east 396 feet. : HILLCREST DRIVE south side from 800 East Street east to a point 800 feet west of the west i line of Canyon Avenue. 700 SOUTH STREET south side from 200 East : Street east 330 feet. 300 WEST STREET east side from Center Street south 360 feet. 900 EAST STREET east side from Hillcrest Drive north 110 feet. 1 1 00 EAST STREET both sides from 400 South Street north 410 feet. ' CANYON DRIVE northeast side from Spring Terrace Avenue southeast 1107 feet. LOCATION OF CURB AND GUTTER IM-: IM-: PROVEMENTS. Curb and gutter improvements are to be constructed along the following named Street and 500 South Street; and from 500 South Street south 295 feet more or less to the irrigation canal. 100 EAST STREET east side between Center Street and 100 North Street. 200 EAST STREET west side from Center Street south to Hobble Creek. 900 EAST STREET east side from Hillcrest Drive north 110 feet. 1100 EAST STREET both sides from 400 South . Street north 410 feet. ESTIMATED COST OF IMPROVEMENTS. The estimated total cost of such improvements as determined by the City Engineer is $54,430.00. The estimated cost to the individual abutter for plain four foot concrete sidewalk is $1.75 per front foot, and for concrete combined curb and gutter is $2.80 per front foot. The abutters estimated cost per front foot does not include the cost of private driveways, the cost of which will vary according to the width and amount of parking area to be covered, and irrigation irri-gation headgates. The estimated cost of the average private driveway is $75. 00 and of irrigation head-gates head-gates is $10.00. The cost of driveways and irrigation headgates will be assessed against the properties benefited in addition to the assessment for sidewalk and curb and gutter. LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES. To defray the abutters' portion of the cost and expense of such improvements, im-provements, special taxes shall be levied upon the lots and parcels of land to be affected or benefited by such improvements, the same to be assessed according accord-ing to the front footage upon and against all lots and parcels of land affected or benefited by the improvements improve-ments and abutting on the sides to be improved of the streets above described, for the distances and between be-tween the points indicated, and running back from the street line the entire depth of each such lot and parcel of land or 165 feet, whichever distance is the streets for the distances and between the points indicated, indi-cated, to-wit: 400 NORTH STREET south side between 200 West Street and 300 West Street; and between ; 200 East Street and 300 East Street. 200 NORTH STREET south side between Main Street and 200 West Street, and from a point 10 feet east of the east line of Main Street east 180 feet. ! - CENTER STREET north side from 100 East Street west to Hobble Creek. The special taxes levied to defray the abutters abut-ters portion of the cost and expense of such improvements improve-ments shall be paid in 10 equal annual installments with interest at the rate of 5 per annum on the unpaid balance ; or the whole amount of the tax may be paid without interest within 15 days after notification notifi-cation by the City Treasurer of the amount due. PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS. All protests and objections to such improvements or to the carrying car-rying out of such intention must be in writing, signed sign-ed by the owners of the property to be affected or benefited, describing such property together with the number of front feet, and must be filed with the City Recorder on or before September 7, 1962, at 5:00 p.m. The City Council will meet on September 10, 1,962, at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at the! Springville City Hall, 50 South Main Street, Springville, Spring-ville, Utah; to consider the proposed levy and hear and consider such protests and objections to such improvements im-provements as shall have been made.
