Show V iW WVWMlJ w of Trcop 63 tc!:e p:r!i trip Nine Eagle Scouts of Troop 68 (Sixth Ward) visited the Utah-Arizona parks on their second annual Eagle trip, last week. The trip, which included Bryce, Canyon, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon Can-yon Dam and Cedar Breaks was taken by members who had attained the Eagle rank. The group included five official of-ficial Eagles, Scoutmaster Robert Ro-bert - Strong, Darrel Bartholomew, Bartholo-mew, Dennis Patten, Michael Davis and Alan Craig. The four boys who have not yet received, official recognition recogni-tion include Craig Hansen, Ricky Orr, Larry Christensen, and Clyde Gajnmel. Altogether the Scouts traveled tra-veled 1,080 miles in four days and all enjoyed the trip immensely. im-mensely. This was the second such Eagle, trip. Last year they went to Yellowstone Park. This completes a series of summer camping activities by Troop 68. Previous activities have included the Fitness cam-poree, cam-poree, the troop trip to Lost Lake in the Uintas, Camp Maple Dell, . and the annual Star trip (High Uintas trip for scouts of Star rank or above) to Pinto Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Springer and family spent the weekend at Logan visiting their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith (Laurel) Cottam, the occasion being Laurel's birthday. Mr. Cottam is attending attend-ing school at the USU. ' Our word "zest" comes from the French "zeste" meaning lemon or . orange peel. |
