Show The public is invited to a special introductory ceremony Friday night at 8 p.m. at the North Ball Park where this year's football team and the two new coaches will be introduced. introduc-ed. The occasion is being held to help stimulate football interest inter-est and is being sponsored by the Springville-Mapleton Athletic Ath-letic Round Table with Don Blanchard in charge. Coach Karol Bills, head football foot-ball coach, and assistant coach Hal Jensen will be introduced and the entire football squad. The team will hold a practice session immediately following and will be served free drinks and hamburgers following their workout. Coach Bills opened drills Monday morning early for some 40 prospective players. The fellows have been getting conditioning practices twice a day, early in the morning and then at 8 under the lights of North Park. Regular drills following school hours will commence Monday." First league lea-gue game will be Oct. 5 here with Carbon. Join the Garden Club and help beautify Springville. |
