Show School board reviews reports, opens bids school and he- was- authorized to plan the program with the principal and school faculty. The superintendent reported among other things that schools of the district had all been cleaned and renovated for the opening of school August 30. Details in connection with the completion of the Spanish Fork high school, for the opening open-ing today, took up a major portion of time at the Nebo district school board meeting Monday of last week. Recommended Recom-mended changes in contracts in plumbing, heating and other details were included in the items discussed. Utah Service, Springville, was awarded the contract to furnish coal to the Mapleton school at $7.75 per ton. It will be supplied by Knight Ideal Coal Company (1x316) mesh), the minutes stated. Bids to furnish anti-freze to the district in 55 gallon drums, to be used by district-owned district-owned automotive equipment, was let to the Intermountain Farmers Assn., Payson. Jack Swenson of Spanish Fork was awarded the bid to write insurance in-surance covering district owned own-ed buses and cars used to transport students for the school year, for bodily liability, property damage and medical payments as specified. His bid was $723.55. Supt. Russell N. Stansfield recommended that A. J. Bow-en, Bow-en, supervisor of buildings and grounds be granted permission to attend the official convention conven-tion for such workers in Dallas, Dal-las, Texas, Oct. 15 thru 18, and the recommendation was approved.
