Romney of the Council of Twelve Apostles, will preside over quarterly conferences confer-ences of Kolob and Springville Stakes this weekend in the rfisDective stake houses. Announcement is i f.. A . j " - f : ' " K ii f V- - ' " ' I 0J ! by President E. A. Strong, Jr. of Kolob stake and President Leo A. Crandall, Springville, who will be in charge of the various meetings. General sessions are scheduled sched-uled in both stakes at 10 a.m. at at 2 p.m. Sunday. Elder Romney will be at the Springville Spring-ville stake in the forenoon and Kolob in the afternoon. A leadership meeting for both Springville and Kolob stakes- will be held in Kolob Stake House Saturday at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is for missionary mis-sionary people and T. Bowery Woodbury of Salt Lake City, former British Mission president, presi-dent, now area supervisor over stake missions, will be the principal speaker. Invited to attend are stake presidencies and .clerks, High Councilmen, missionary presidencies, presi-dencies, stake missionaries, ward bishoprics and clerks, stake auxiliary superintendences superintenden-ces and presidencies of both Elder Marion G. Romney of the Council of Twelve Apostles Apos-tles of the LDS Church will address conferences in both Springville and Kolob stakes stakes. At 8 p.m. Elder Romney will address Stake presidencies presiden-cies and High Councilmen of both stakes. The Mapleton Junior chorus, directed by Mrs. Shirley Graves,. Grav-es,. r will furnish music at the Kolob stake general sessions. Sunday night Meetings Sunday night in each of the stakes begin at 7 p.m., and will be under direction direc-tion of the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Asociation stake presidencies. Kolob stake Clarence Robinson, track ! coach of Brigham Young University, Uni-versity, will speak in Kolob stake. Reported to be a dynamic dy-namic speaker, he recently completed a tour of Europe jWith his conference championship champion-ship track team. Special music will be under direction of Clara Childs, stake MIA music director. di-rector. Springville stake Dr. B. West Belnap, dean of the College of Religion at BYU, will speak in Springville stake. Secretary to the Church Coordinating Council, he is reported re-ported to be an excellent speaker. He has served in numerous nu-merous church capacities including in-cluding High Councilman, bishop bish-op and stake president. The visiting authority to the stake conferences, Elder Marion Mar-ion G. Romney, is a former practicing attorney and served several capacities as an elected public official in Salt Lake City. He is chairman of the famed Church Welfare program. pro-gram. A former misisonary to Australia, he has served also as a bishop and stake presi- dent. He was born in Mexico : and has traveled extensively on church assignments. |
