Show Lorna Sanford Senior 'Student of the Week' "Attractive," "talente d," "good student," 'a fine person," per-son," all are words to describe Lorna Sanford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sanford. San-ford. This young lady has done outstanding work in high school. In the tenth grade she was a student council representative, repre-sentative, and president of a-cappella a-cappella choir I. In her junior year she was again on the student stu-dent council and was an officer offi-cer in the band. She won first place in a high school essay contest by writing on the theme America & Freedom. She was chosen queen of the Harvest Ball and as a senior holds an office in both the a cappella choir and the band. Music has been important in Miss Sanford's school life. She is a fine flute player and has played in bands for six years. She also sings very well and is a three year member of the a cappella choir and has performed per-formed many times on school and community programs. She is an excellent seamstress seam-stress and likes to divide her spare time between singing, sewing, and outdoor sports. Church work has not been neglected in Lorna's life. She has won several high awards for church service and has held many church offices. After school she plans to study at Sperry Rand and I. B. M. Business Machines in Salt Lake. She is looking forward for-ward to a career, at least temporarily, in the business field. |
