Most of the men running for offices are not politicians. They're commuters. Safety course planned for young hunters A course in Gun Safety designed de-signed to make hunting safer for young people will get underway un-derway this evening beginning at 7:30 p.m., at Memorial Hall. The course is for boys 14 years of age and older, who plan to get their first game license li-cense this fall. The law requires re-quires boys pass the course before be-fore making application for a license. There is a small charge for the classes. Conducted over a period of 16 hours, the course will be taught by Garth Killpack of Provo and is being sponsored jointly by the American Legion Le-gion and the State Fish and Game Dept. with Alma Miner of this city in charge. Class time will be divided into the following periods of instruction: introduction and orientation; firearms and hunter hun-ter safety; safe handling of firearms; safety of firearms on the rifle range; sportsmen, landowner and game department depart-ment relationships and the |
