Show Club group meets at breakfast Members of the Cultural Arts club enjoyed a breakfast arranged by the new officers Wednesday morning at Kellys Grove. The club welcomed two new members, LaRhea Twelves and LaVern Larsen and made plans or the opening social to be held at the Social Center in Spanish Fork August 31. Officers in charge of the party were Cora Ellis, president; presi-dent; Francis - Holley, vice-president; vice-president; Leah Crandall, secretary; sec-retary; Genevieve Whiting, treasurer and Lura Whiting, publicity. ' Others attending were, Helen Hel-en Bird, Lois J. Child, Dorothy Doro-thy Christensen, Ina Christensen, Christen-sen, Louise Clyde, Catherine Hattis, Margaret Holdaway, Ila Cook, Velma Wilson, Beth Parker, Margaret Pehrson, Ivy Thorn, Helen Wright, LaRhea Twelves ( and LaVern Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Frandsen and two daughters left Sunday Sun-day for New York where Lee will enroll in the New York University School of Retailing for the coming school year. He has been granted a $500 scholarship scho-larship by the school, when he graduated from .the BYU this week. Enroute, he and his family fam-ily planned to visit Mr. and Mrs. George Hales at Cincinnati, Cincin-nati, Ohio where George is taking a medical course and they will also visit another cousin Carrol Liechty and family fam-ily at Warminster, Pa. |
