Show I Mrs. Twila E. Newberry Woman wins Y. degree in three years Taking correspondence courses, cour-ses, night and summer school in addition to regular college classes has paid off for Mrs. Twila Ewell Newberry. She has completed her college work in three years and will receive a BA degree from the BYU in the summer commencement Friday evening. Active in LDS church work, while attaining her degree, she has served as chorister in Junior Sunday School five years; taught Primary 10 years and has been a Relief Society theology class leader. She has also been recreation director at the Park during the summer' months, supervising children's play. Mrs. Newberry has signed a contract to teach kindergarten in Santaquin the coming year. She gives considerable credit to her family in aiding her in her college work at the conclusion conclu-sion of which she is being awarded a certificate in elementary ele-mentary education, another in Library Science and another in Kindergarten in addition to her degree. A daughter and son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law and four younger children plan to see her' graduate. She has also received personal congratulations congratula-tions from Dr. Ernest L. Wilkinson, Wil-kinson, president of the BYU. |
