Show Board Sets Teacher Hours, Takes up Routine Business at Monday Meet Nebo District Board of Education Edu-cation at its meeting Monday evening decided unanimously that teachers must be in the school buildings from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, af-ternoon, the hours having been formally approved by the board. Other business taken up at the meeting, had to do with the installation of stage curtains cur-tains and blackout draperies in the new elementary grade schools. The curtains are to be installed in the Peteetneet and Wilson schools by December 15 and the Brockbank and Sage Creek by January 1. Leo A. Crandall, board member mem-ber from Springville, reported on the 37th annual convention of Utah School Boards held in tober 31, of $246,821.69 less outstanding checks of $225,-831.85, $225,-831.85, leaving funds available in the general account on November No-vember 1st of $20,989.84. The clerk furnished the superintendent su-perintendent and all board members with a budget report covering the period July 1, 1959 to October 31, 1959 showing show-ing $3,266,554.00 budgeted, $889,938.44 expended, and $2,-366,615.56 $2,-366,615.56 unexpended, or 72 per cent unexpended. The Superintendent and all board members were presented a statement of new building construction to October 31 showing total contracts of $1,-152,655.28; $1,-152,655.28; $1,145,020.54 paid, and a balance of $7,634.74 to be paid. Changes in the bus schedule requested by Benjamin and Genola were not acceptable to the board. Architects for the new High School at Spanish Fork, together to-gether with the superintendent discussed plans to date on the new building. The architects were instructed to complete detailed de-tailed plans as soon as possible possi-ble and to furnish the board data on alternate materials costs whenever possible. Claims, amounting to $64,-758,68, $64,-758,68, lists of which were furnished fur-nished the Superintendent and mailed to all board members on November 12 were approved for payment on a motion by Glade Stone seconded by Leo A.
