She replaces Mrs. Zora Hales who will be librarian. Phil Wright is the new Sunday School counselor coun-selor taking the place of Lowell Lo-well Lyman, who has moved from the ward. David Lowe, three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Lowe is recuperating at home after a neck operation. Mr. Lowe is home after working in The Ward Budget Banquet for the Mapleton Ward held Thursday evening was a success suc-cess both socially and financially. finan-cially. Covers were laid for approximately ap-proximately two hundred and seventy-five guests. The auxiliary auxil-iary organizations of the ward supervised by the Relief Society So-ciety were in charge of arrangements ar-rangements and serving, with the food committee of the R. S. in charge of the food. Working on this committee are Mrs. Beth Bird, chairman and Dorothy Dor-othy Parry, Nordika Barker, Ada Hartley and Muriel Cox. Horns of plenty and green ivy were used for table decorations which were arranged by officers offi-cers of the Primary. Ray Whiting of the MIA introduced in-troduced the program which was presented by the Polynesian Polyne-sian Club from the BYU. Binks, all of Mapleton and John Holley and Marcellus Nielson from Spanish Fork together to-gether with Spencer Mackley of Provo and Mrs. Lora Bird. Mrs. Fern Whitney, Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Tew and Mrs. Sarah Mendenhall. Men-denhall. Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Christen-son Christen-son attended a welcome service ser-vice in Provo for David Weight a missionary friend of their son Larry who is serving an LD'S mission in Uruguay. Enjoying a week end visit and pheasant hunt in Vernal with friends and relatives have cific Islands provided a colorful color-ful evening's entertainment. Lyle Paulson was chairman of general arrangements. The Needle Craft Club of Mapleton entertained their husbands hus-bands at a supper party at the Social Center in Spanish Fork Saturday evening. A delicious deli-cious turkey super was served at long tables centered with Thanksgiving motif.
