Beardall will be honored at an Open House Reception host ed by their daughters and sons Sunday, marking their 50th wedding anniversary. Open House Reception Sunday To Honor Mr., Mrs. A. R. Beardall An Open House reception the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 29, will honor Mr. and Mrs. Alvin R. Beardall on the occasion oc-casion of their Golden Wedding Wed-ding anniversary. They are parents of 16 children child-ren including three sets of twins. Eleven sons and daughters daugh-ters including two sets of twins are living. Mr. and Mrs. Beardall smiled proudly when they told of the time the 11 children were home and meals were prepared three times a day for the family of thirteen. Friends and relatives will be welcomed by the couple at their home 487 East Ninth So., between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. They request no gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Beardall were married December 1, 1909, in the Salt Lake Temple and have made their home in Springville always. Two of their grandsons grand-sons are now serving LDS missions. mis-sions. Mrs. Sarah (Sadie) Leota Scott Beardall was was born in Provo August 7, 1889, a daughter daugh-ter of William Norton and Em-eretta Em-eretta Clark Scott. She has always been active 1 in LDS church work and has ; served as a Relief Society ; teacher 42 years. For approxi- mately 40 years, she has done ! genealogy work. They have both engaged in LDS Temple work throughout their married life. Mr." Beardall' was born " in Springville December 14, 1890, a son of Wm. Henry and Clara Viola Packard Beardall. He received his education in the schools of this city and has been engaged as a butcher and meat cutter for 47 years. He served as a stake missionary for nearly three years. He has been secretary of the High Priests Quorum for 11 years and served in other capacities in the various auxiliaries. Hosts and hostesses for the Golden Wedding Open House will be the sons and daughters and their wives and husbands as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Lau-rel (Dorotha) Cook of Sandy; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Alvin Beardall Bear-dall of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Beardall of Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Jean Merryweather of Tooele ;-Mr. ;-Mr. and Mrs. Francis (Jean-nett) (Jean-nett) Jones of Escondido, California; Cali-fornia; Mr. and Mrs. Don (Le-ola) (Le-ola) Hazel, Mr. and Mrs. Heb-er Heb-er (Leota) Jones, Oran Beardall, Bear-dall, Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Ida) Hardy, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Beardall and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Beardall all of Springville. Also most of the couple's 48 grandchildren and five great grandchildren will be on hand for the Golden Wedding celebration. |
