HEARING BEGUN ON CUSTODY OF MINORS Hearing was begun yesterday before Judge Wilson McCarthy of the Third district court in the matter of the custody cus-tody of the two minor children of the late Addie G. Hammond and William B. Hammond. That the merits of the case might be developed, the matter was continued until this morning. When the Hammonds Ham-monds were divorced. Mrs. Hammond obtained custody of the children, and upon her death Mr. Hammond came to Salt Lake from, the Pacific coast to claim them. The children are now in the care of Mrs. Hammond's mother. Recently Mr. Hammond was ited into the juvenile court to show cause why he should not be denied custody of the children on the ground" of unfitness. A demurrer to this citation is pending.
