DESPITE DEFEAT, IRA DERN STILL HOLDS 158 TITLE A telegram received yesterday by Bill Thornton, local mat referee and wrestling authority, is to the effect that the defeat of Ira Dern at the hands of John Kilonis at Boston, Thursday night, does not deprive Pern of the middleweight title, conferred con-ferred upon him because of his victory vic-tory over Waino Ketonen. It appears that Thursday's bout was not a middleweight mid-dleweight championship match, as " Kilonis weighed 172 pounds, ringside, ring-side, which is fourteen pounds over the limit. Dern was at his regular weight, 158.
