L. D. S. CHURCH BUYS STATE STREET LAND The Beck property on the west side of 1 State street between First avenue and ' North Temple street has been purchased j by the L. D. S. church, according to B. j Spencer young of the real estate depart- men! of Heber J. Grant & Co. The prop- 1 erty was bought from M. P. Morrissey, the owner, for $23,000, Mr. Young said. , It has a frontage of 92 feet and a depth 1 of 214Vb feet. The L. D. S. church is also negotiating for the purchase of the Preston property, on the west side of State street, a short distance south of the Beck land, for $30.-000, $30.-000, Mr. Young said. This piece has a frontage of 108 feet and is 214i feet deep. Both deals were conducted by the real estate department of Heber J. Grant & Co.
