Show EVIDENCE ENDS IN SJIPP CASE Arguments to Begin Today; To-day; Expert Says Slayer Is Sane. Evidence taking was concluded yesterday yes-terday in the trial in the criminal division divi-sion of the third district court of Mike Gionopolis, charged with the murder of Dr. M. B. Shipp, who was fatally shot June 9 in his office,',159V.: South Main street. Arguments will begin this morning, and it is expected that the case will go to the jurv today. " The defense rested immediately after the noon recess re-cess of court, whereupon two witnesses were called bv the state by way ot rebuttal. re-buttal. The remainder of the aiternoon was devoted to discussion of both sides with regard to instruction ot the jury bv the 'court, the jury having been excused ex-cused during the discussion. Dr W. Brown Ewing was called by ie state in rebuttal of the testimony "f experts who testified tor the defense as to reasons for belief that the defendant defen-dant was insane at the time of shooting shoot-ing Doctor Shipp. Doctor Ewing scouted the idea that the man could have been insane from the illness for ; which Doctor Shipp ; is said to have I beeen treating him, since, according to the witness, insanity from such cause would not be temporary, but progres-sire, progres-sire, aud incurable, especially not t an-I'sitorv. an-I'sitorv.
