Show WICHITA FALLS OIL " FIELDFARE ACTIVE Burkburnett, Iowa Park and Electric Properties Big. Producers. Wells Give 70,000 Barrels Each Twenty-four Hours; Output Increasing. WICHITA FALLS. Texas, March 1. The Burkburnett, Iowa Parx and Plectra oil fiel'-la, all of which are located in "Wichita county, arc producing around 70.0UO barrels of oil every twenty-four hours, and when a comparison of this showing is made with oilier fields of the eotiili, it will ho found that this section is producing in greater volume thun any other. The oil in the Wichita district is said to be of high grade, which means tha t the daily output is easily worth $170,000, or more thr. 35,000.000 per month. The daily output is increasing every week, as th3 territory is being widened. In the Burkburnett field alone there are about 20 producing wells, and it is estimated 200 others are either in or on top of the sand ready for completion, or waiting pipe line connection. New wells ero 'coming in at the rate of three to six daily in the Burkburnett field. A Biimmary of recent operations show forty completions and about sixty new locations loca-tions made within the paat two weeks. During the first three weeks of Febru-iiry Febru-iiry the wells reported completed in the Burkburnett, Eleclra, Petrolia, Iowa Park and Holiday fields numbered 142, of which all but eighteen were producers. New Well Comes In. W. T. Wood, trustee of the Burkburnett Burkbur-nett Oil & Development company, says; "Our well No. 3 came in Tuesday and cur drillers estimate it will be better than SCO barrels a day. Arrangements are being made to connect with the pipe line today, and we will soon be in a position po-sition to Know definitely what our production pro-duction from this well will be. iOur No. 1 well is also n earing" completion, and, bfirring accidents, will be in within the next few days, while our No. 2 Is now drilling within a few feet of where wo expect to find the pay sand. The company's com-pany's No. 5 well, located in block CI of the Burkburnett oil field, will be ready to start drilling early Monday. This location is northwest of the Humble well, which is now making about 2400 barrels daily." According to Mr. Wood, this company was successfully financed in less than thirty days. He is also interested with 1 associates in the recent organization of ! the Burk-Mack Oil company, which is toi drill two wells in the towns! to at Burkburnett, Burk-burnett, and which also has valuable holoV ingj in tho Iowa Park field. ( Millions Are Invested. The Fowler "gusher came in July 26, : 1!U$, and brought on a riot-of development develop-ment unparalleled in tho history of tho petroleum industry. Mere-than $35,000,-. 000 has been invested in more than 500 companies, big and little, in seven months : in Burkburnett townsite and near-by j acreage. It is believed that when all wells j under way since August 1 are producing to ca paeity, this field will be making fcet ween 17,r.000 nnd 200,000 barrels daily, approximately 5,700,000 barrels monthly, worth, a L ported price, $2.35 per barrel, an aggregate of $446,500 per day, $13,335,-000 $13,335,-000 per month and $159,740,000 per year. This development has caused the town of 2000 to become a city of many thousand thou-sand people within the short space of a few months. Town lots that were worth from $100 to $200 in July, 1918, have since sold for as high as .25,000 for oil development, and oil royalties on the same lots are worth much more than the amount paid for leases. Other Wells Coming In. Following the bringing in of the Fowler, Fow-ler, Staley and Hammond wells, others were completed every few days. The two first wells drilled by tho Harvey Har-vey Oil company, on tho Gillis acreage just east of the townsite were brought in Sunday, August 23. These wells, located eonio 800 feet from the nearest production, produc-tion, were splendid producers. Two or three weeks later the Smith well, located several hundred feet southeast south-east of the seliooi building, came, in for o. good producer. Shortly thereafter the Big Pool located south of the Harvey wells, and the Citizens, Citi-zens, located oh block 5, both came in for big producers. New York Listed Stocks. .T. A.
