Show WOMAN VICTIM OF 1UT0CR1SH OIES Mrs. Annie E. Anthony, Injured In-jured on Ogden Road Tuesday, Succumbs. Mrs. Annie E. Anthony, -wife of Edward Ed-ward D. Anthony, a Salt Lake City fireman, fire-man, who as injured, in an automobile collision on the Osclen road a short distance dis-tance north of the Davis county line, Tuesday, died at St. Mark's hospital early jesterday. Mr. Anthony, who was also injured in the accident, has recovered sufficiently to be sent to his home,' 96$ Baudley court-. The accident occurred, the police assert, as-sert, when the Anthony automobile, going north toward Bountiful, turned out to allow a south-bound car, said to have been driven by Miss Hortense Stohl, to pass. A second south-bound machine, the police say, occupied by Claude Hei-ncr, Hei-ncr, Robert Snell and Kugene Driggs. attempted at-tempted to pass the car driven by Miss . Stohl and collided with the Anthony auto- I mobile, which turned over twice, pinning the occupants beneatli it and fatally injuring in-juring Mrs. Anthony. Mrs. Kate Irvine. L'l Eleventh East street, who was in the car with the Anthonys, escaped with minor injuries. Chief of Police J. Parley White said last night that, inasmuch as tho accident occurred in Davis county, the matter is out of the jurisdiction of the Salt Lake police department. Funerai services for Mrs. Anthony will be held in the Tenth ward chapel Sunday, Sun-day, at 12:30 p. m. The casket will be opened at the Joseph William Taylor chapel prior to the services. Interment will be in City cemetery. |
