Show 9196, when a scout from troop 29 will be dispatched at once to take the packages pack-ages to the Red Cross collecting station. Additional large barrels are also to be placed about the city for the reception of such materials as householders may find it convenient to carry downtown with them. Plans for the operations of the boy scouts are now being worked out by the local council of the organization and are said to include a thorough house-to-house canvass of the city at regular intervals. BOY SCOUTS TO AID SAVING FRUIT PITS Members of the boy scouts, troop 29, have completed arrangements for co-operating- -with the Ped Cross in gathering fruit pits, nuts and other materials needed need-ed in thp manufacture of gauze masks. Officials of the two organizations believe be-lieve there are many persons in Salt Lake who have saved r:nd gathered quantities of fruit pits ard nuts, but have not found it convenient to take them to a collecting station.
