Show DEMAND FOR LABOR IN BEET SECTIONS Practically all of the men of the students stu-dents army training corps of the University Uni-versity of Utah have been granted a furlough that permits them to return to j their homes until the reopening of school : , following the influenza epidemic. They have been advised by university authorities authori-ties to seek remunerative employment ! during the enforced vacation. The only j men on the campus at present are the H0 student soldiers that were sent here 1 from Arizona. Scores of the men have accepted em- ' ploy men t in the sugar beet fields where labor is in hi.gh demand. Many have gone j to points In Idaho where there is a crltl- j cal shortage of help in the harvesting of the beet crop. Employers have offered I to pay the men excellent wasea and to j bear all expense of transportation. |
