Show PIONEER FESTIVAL PROGRAM FIXED Ail Is in Readiness for Celebration at the Tabernacle at 10 -o'clock Tomorrow Morning. The cfecorating committee has finished fin-ished its work and all other detail's of the pioneer festival, to be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the tabernacle, tab-ernacle, have been completed. The final rehearsal of Professor Evan Stephens's "Pioneer Ode" was held at the tabernacle last night. Besides being be-ing the accompanist, Professor John McClellan will give an orfian solo. Governor Bamberger and Secretary of State Bennion will be present as representatives rep-resentatives of the state. President Anthon H. Lund will represent the first presidency and Elder Anthony W. Ivins and Elder Levi Edgar Young quorums of the twelve and seventy. Others to attend will be officers from Fort Douglas, members of the city commission com-mission and the Oesoret Sunday School union board. One of the numbers on the program will be a flag salute by the assembly. The thousands of children who will occupy the lower floor will sing "Tn Our Lovely Desert" and "Utah, We Love Thee. ' ' Orson S. Whitney, who composed the pioneer ode for its rendition at the jubilee in 189", will give a recitative interpretation of the composition. This will be followed immediately by the singing of the ode. The public is invited in-vited to attend. Every indication points to an audience that will tax the capacity ca-pacity of the building. |
