Show ADDITIONAL RAIL FACILITIES FOR FAIR Spur Tracks to Facilitate Transfer of Livestock to the Eig Exposition Grounds. To facilitate the transfer of livestock to the state fair grounds, it is probable that additional spurs and tracks for sidings will be built on the west side ot of tlie exposition grounds from the main tracks of the Salt Lake, Garfield & Western railroad (the Saltair route), according to Earl Jay Glade, secretary of the association. A requirement which goes with the government exhibit is to be shown here this fall is that the cars carrying it shall be "spotted" within the fair enclosure en-closure during the time it is here. On this account, Secretary Glade says, a special spur will be constructed from the Saltair line tracks directly into the fair grounds. " i Mr. Glade says it is likely that the tracks which shall be laid down will be left for further use. It is anticipated that they will be useful in ense of ram sales, sheep shows, circuses and the like, any or all of which may be held on the fair grounds. |
