Show FRENCH ORPHANS H AD0PTE0BY PUPILS Local Organizations and Individuals In-dividuals Assist Fatherless Father-less Children. The committee of the Fatherless Children Chil-dren of France has been greatly encouraged encour-aged in its work by the gre3t interest manifested by various social and educational educa-tional organizations of the state. The committee hopes to sec many other similar sim-ilar institutions join hands in bringing bring-ing comfort to these far distant child sufferers, for the needy is truly desperate desper-ate Several card clubs, two schools and the I.vuils auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star, nave "adopted" children during the last fortnight. Mrs. W. F. Gardiner Gar-diner of the latter organization is enthusiastically en-thusiastically aiding in securing others oth-ers to do as the i.vnds auxiliary has done. One of the most striking examples of patriotism and unselfish generosity is that shown by the Wasatch schooi. These children under the guidance of their principal. Miss F.tta Powers, gave ; a pet show early in the winter and have divided the returns among several sev-eral patriotic causes. The enthusiasm displayed by these children in "adopting" "adopt-ing" their French orphans is most inspiring. in-spiring. The pleasure which they are experiencing from their benevolence prompts the committee to suggest similar sim-ilar efforts on the part of other institutions. in-stitutions.
