Show SKEPTICS IKE LIFE BORE FORMERGEOES I Psychic Wonder Billed to Headline Coming Vaudeville Vaude-ville Bill at Orpheum. The life of Mercedes, known as the psychic eighth wonder of the world, who is to be the headliner of the big feature vaudeville bill opening at the Orpheum theater next Wednesday evening, and that of his assistant, Mile. Stantone, seems to consist of one continual con-tinual round of tets. Mercedes aud his partner have been amusing and puzzling vaudeville audiences for several sev-eral years past and when they reach here for the new bill audiences will be enabled to make tests themselves. The routine of the act is unlike anything any-thing in vaudeville. -Mile. Stantone seats herself at a grand piano and Mercedes Mer-cedes mingles with the audience. The latter is invited to whisper names of musical selections to Mercedes, who in turn transmits the name of the composition com-position to Mile. Stantone. Inasmuch as he alwavs uses the same words, the theory of the use of code, so often suspected sus-pected by audiences, is disproven.
