Show BUREAU OF LABOR BEING REORGANIZED Department Is Undergoing Change So as to Expedite Its Part in War Programme. WASHINGTON, Feb. 6. Reorganization Reorganiza-tion of the department of labor to facilitate fa-cilitate the war programme has proceeded pro-ceeded to the point where the labor advisory council, headed by John Lind, now is working on the creation of tho subordinate bureaus which will have administrative ad-ministrative charge of the various phases of the work. So far, the joint board representing capital and labor, which will outline a basis of relations for the duratioP of the war, has not been announced. Louis F. Post, assistant secretary, said today that he believed the two sides would reach a very satisfactory understanding. understand-ing. "Labor desires to be considered members mem-bers of the community, not mere instruments instru-ments of production," Mr. Post said. 'That was what the British investigating investigat-ing commission discovered. The same thing is true here and if that point of view is taken the results should be very beneficial. ' ' |
