Show AMERICAN CON. HAS BRIGHT PROSPECTS Sudden Activity of Stock, However, Is Not Due to Any Sensational Developments, De-velopments, Says Manager. The sudden activity in American Consolidated Con-solidated Copper stock Is not due to any sensational developments, according to Manager L. L. Smith, although he admitted ad-mitted yesterday that the outlook was highly encouraging. The miners are now working in a sandstone formation which is seamed with mineral and is declared to be very similar to the ore capping encountered en-countered in the Cardiff, according to reports re-ports received by Manager Smith. lie expects to go to the mine within the next day or two to obtain some first-hand information in-formation as to developments. Ten days ago reports from the mine indicated that the face of the drift was becoming heavily mineralized and that the formation was of such a character that something sensational might develop alniqst any time. It was about that time that the storm brought about a suspension suspen-sion of operations in the canyon. The men returned to work only a few days ago and Mr. Smith is of the opinion that they have been on the job scarcely Ions enough to cut through the sandstone. It was rumored around the exchange yesterday that the sudden popularity of the stock was due to orders placed by workmen in a, neighboring property who recently paid the American Consolidated Copper a visit. |
