ran i in NEW YORK WELCOME Governor to Select Body Representing State on Soldiers' Return, i Governor Bamberger invites Utah business busi-ness men to submit to him the names of representatives of their housfc who are expected to be in New York during a part or all of December and next January. Jan-uary. Since receipt of an invitation from the directors of the Fifth Avenue association of New York to the state of Utah to have part in a maumoth celebration of the homecoming of 'soldiers from Europe, the governor has been awaiting more definite information as to the probable date of the event. Governor Bamberger is asked to appoint ap-point a committee from this state, with a chairman preferably located temporarily tem-porarily or permanently in New York, to aid in making arrangements for a big parade amng Fifth avenue to wol-' wol-' coine the soldiers home. The plan is to 1 devote one block along the avenue to ! each of the forty-nine states in the I Union, each designated block to have j decorations placed by the state which it 1 represents, including the state insignia or coat-of-arms and any characteristic welcoming phrase desired, and all to harmonize har-monize with the general plan. While it is known that Utah soldiers will return principally in small detachments detach-ments and squads, the return of the H.'tth artillery regiment is to be made the occasion of Utah's chief celebration in New York, the members of that reei-ment reei-ment being in large majority from this state.
