About 100 soldier boys, discharged from the army at Camp Lee, Virginia, and who were en rouLe to the!r hnme in California, had their hearts gladdened and appetites appeased , during tlte half hour they were in the city today by receiving a cup of coffee and a piece of pumpkin and mince pifs. The women nf the canteen have made ample preparations to serve pie itnd coffee cof-fee to the soldiers passing through the city each day. The special service will be in addition to the furnishing of writing writ-ing materials, fruit, candy, gum and "smokes" to the hoys.
