CROSSCOUNTRY RUiy WON BYJOUGLASS Sixty Athletes Start in the American Interscholastic Event. 1 PHILADELPHIA, Xov. 2S. George Douglass, Newark, N. J., central high school, today won the American inter-, scholastic cross-country run in Fair-mount Fair-mount park, covering the three and one-half one-half miles in 19 minutes, 29 seconds. The Newark school won the team prize with a total of 35 points. Krasmus Hall, Brooklyn, N. Y., was second, with 77 points; Northeast high. Philadelphia, third, 86; Blair Acadamy. Blairstown, N. J., fourth, 88; Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg. Pa., fifth, 92. Sixty runners started. Barrett and Cushman, Blair Academy, finished second sec-ond and third ; Rick. Erasmus, fourth; Hooper and Fisher, New York Central, , fifth and sixth.
