Show ASK MARKET FOR AUSTRALIAN WHEAT LONDON, Nov. 28 (via Montreal). William M. Hughes, Australian premier, has received a cablegram from W. A. Watt, the treasurer of the Australian government, stating that in view of the fact that another wheat harvest is due and will require payments aggregating at least 10, Otto, 000 pounds sterling, the Australian wheal board considers it desirable de-sirable to sell 1.000,000 tons of wheat at a minimum price of 57 pence (approximately (approxi-mately 51. IS) per bushel, provided thai Australia is permitted to compete in the world markeis and is able to reserve the rest of the wheat supply on hand. |
