Miss Jane Addams is being mentioned as a candidate candi-date of a Chicago woman's party for mayor. tt is estimated 300,000 women have registered for the spring election. Rumor has it they intend to put forward 'an independent reform platform. I Women leaders who have dealth with local and state politics are not sure the time is ripe for the advancement of a woman's candidacy, and Miss Addams. it "is reported, is reluctant to entir active politics. It is understood, however, that she will abide by the decision of the woman's party manager s.
