Tho amount of the consideration was not made public, but since it, is estimated that the, ore already proved will net more than $5110, OUO. it. can be safely stilted that the purchase price was not in.sinif icant. Property Well Known. The ground of the Kennedy Consolidated Consoli-dated is well known in mining circles. Years ago, in tho days when the Gold-field Gold-field excitement was on, it was located and developed for its gold values. These were good near tho surface, but at depth the copper values predominated to such an ex-tent that under the then existing conditions, operation could not bo profitably pro-fitably continued. At that time comparatively com-paratively nothing was known of the advanced methods of flotation treatment treat-ment that takes care of ore running even as low ns 1 per cent copper, when handled han-dled on a large scale, at a wide margin of profit. Big Body Exposed. ; Mr. Cowan said yesterday at a depth of eighty feet tho property 'showed thirty thir-ty feet of copper ore. average assays 1 giving from 3Vj to 4,i per cent cop-1 cop-1 per and $11 in gold and silver. Mr. ' t owan estimates that the crude ore will 1 net $15 per ton and as the ore shoot, is exposed for 300 feet in three different places of development, he says that a I conservative statement makes the vof-: vof-: nine of the ore to be treated worth more ! than $500,000 net. I Mill Plans Under Way. Plans are already being made for the I early construction of a flotation plant i to handle the big tonnage which the i initio will afford. The location is highly ' favorable, the property being only live miles out of Jjudwig and only one and one-half miles from a power line that is now in operation. From the property to r the station the roads, said Mr. Cowan, j are in excellent condition and no cliff i-; i-; culty will be experienced in the hauling of the ores, concentrates or supplies.
